Wagner was an Artspace Regional Emerging Artist-in-Residence from January-June 2004.Īrtspace is a nonprofit visual art center dedicated to providing arts education and community outreach programs, creating an environment of more than 100 professional artists and presenting nationally acclaimed exhibitions.
Wagner works in oil and acrylic paint and at times incorporates elements of photography, collage, screen-printing, performance, and installation. He has shown work in Raleigh, Washington, DC, Boston, Massachusetts, and Providence, RI. He graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Corcoran College of Art and Design and a Masters of Fine Art from School of the Museum of Fine Art Boston. When he was nine, his family moved to Raleigh. Ollie Wagner was born in California in 1978. Most recently, she was selected to receive a 2012 North Carolina Arts Council artist fellowship award. She was the 2011 recipient of the Logan Prize, and the 2010 recipient of the Community-Campus Partnership Fellowship from UNC-Chapel Hill. She completed her Masters in Fine Art from UNC-Chapel Hill and was a da Vinci scholar at NCSU, where she received two bachelor degrees in History and Art & Design. She is an Assistant Professor of Fine Art at Hampton University in Virginia, teaching Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, and Humanities, and special topics in Mixed Media. Tracy Spencer-Stonestreet is a mixed media artist who lives and works in North Carolina and Virginia. Upcoming exhibitions include “Thought Maps & Ladders” with artist Ray Duffey in Artspace’s Gallery 1, opening Sept. Joye was an Artspace Regional Emerging Artist-in-Residence from January-July 2013. Recently, Joye had a solo exhibition at Designbox, Raleigh and was the featured artist at the Raleigh’s Woman’s Club. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including “The Drawing Show”, Pump Project, Austin, TX and “Red Dot, Women & Their Work”, Austin, TX. 6, 2013.īecky Joye received a Bachelor of Architecture from UNC-Charlotte in 2003.
